2020 Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Conference Register now for the 2020 Idaho Patient Safety and Quality Improvement conference on May 12th-13th, 2020 at the Riverside Hotel in Boise, Idaho. Dr Josh Luke is our keynote speaker on day 1. Founder, National Readmission Prevention Collaborative & National Bundled Payment Collaborative. We are excited to announce our speaker is best-selling author, hospital CEO and healthcare futurist, Dr Josh Luke. His broad range of prior experience with some of the leading companies in healthcare, positioned him well to be an expert on readmission prevention and care coordination.  He served as the CEO of multiple acute hospitals in California, as CEO of HealthSouth Las Vegas (acute rehab hospital), Administrator in the Skilled Nursing Division of Kindred, and had direct oversight of home health and hospice services in his health system Vice president role. Dr. Luke founded the National Readmission Prevention Collaborative in October 2013 (nationalreadmissionprevention.com) to showcase Best Practice integration models and the National Bundled Payment Collaborative in 2015. 2020 Closing speaker, Trevor Manthey has worked with individuals and organizations to leverage motivation for change throughout his career. Early on Trevor noted that externally driven change only helped people and organizations change temporarily. Once external drivers were removed previous behaviors returned. It didn’t matter whether the external drivers were positive or negative. Alternatively, interventions that helped people self-determine their goals, and clearly articulate their reasons for achieving those goals, tended to increase the likelihood of lasting change. Change that was internally driven tended to last longer. Facilitating self-determined goals and motivating lasting behavior change are the unifying themes present throughout Trevor’s varied professional experience. For the last 12 years Trevor has provided Motivational Interviewing training and technical assistance for vocational rehabilitation and other human service agencies. Recently he started helping healthcare agencies, business organizations, and professionals apply Motivational Interviewing to optimize culture and increase follow through Following day 1 activities, a networking reception will be held for all participants.  Light appetizers will be served, and one free drink ticket will be provided with registration. Please RSVP by adding a "Networking Reception" ticket to your order.
